The annual EWA Equestrian Interschool Championships were held over four days at the State Equestrian Centre in Perth from the 10th-13th April 2024. This Event attracts secondary and primary riders, their friends and families from across WA representing their schools in the disciplines of showjumping, dressage, combined training, vaulting and showhorse. Eventing is also included but held over three competitions at different venues.
This year the Australian Christian College took a team of eleven riders with Year 12 students Ruby Rae and Savannah Beveridge as joint team Captains, both girls also received their leaving badges along with other Year 12 students at the opening ceremony to acknowledge the final year of their interschool journey.

The team represented ACC with pride and displayed sportsmanship of the highest standard supporting each other and fellow competitors. The girls rode to their best of their abilities and I’m proud to say that at the recent interschool awards night, the ACC team took home a swag of individual placings across all disciplines. We were also awarded Champion Overall Secondary School for the third consecutive year! Ruby Rae was the Champion Overall Secondary Rider for the third year in a row. Overall Champion results;

It has been my absolute pleasure to be Team Manager for the past three years, but it’s now time to hand over the reins. I would like to thank each and everyone of my amazing team members & their supporters for all the laughs, enthusiasm, camaraderie and school spirit throughout interschools. The team has achieved the highest accolades over the past three years and I know you will continue to ride and represent ACC to the best of your abilities.
Good luck.

In the school holidays, Holly and Hannah Kerr also competed at state dressage and won or placed in many events at the State Pony Club Dressage Championships - as did quite a few other ACC students! They won the team Pri Caprilli (which is jumping and dressage combined) with Hannah winning the individual competition, Holly won her Freestyle with the event record high score and also a novice dressage test. A great event for our rural kids to come together with the city students who also compete in Dressage.
Holly also won the Overall High School Rural Competitor at the WA Interschools event held in April - with ACC being the winning overall team. Well done to the equestrian team for representing the team so beautifully!

Finally, we say a fond farewell to Milla Vukelic. She says she will definitely miss online school and hopes to come back to it someday because of its convenience when managing all the duties that come with horses and competing in events. We wish her all the best in her future endeavours.
