Hi All,

Over the last couple of years, it has been my pleasure to oversee our student leadership program here in DE and I am excited to announce that student leadership applications for 2025 are now open.

More information and the application form is available here; https://learning.acc.edu.au/courses/19099/pages/student-leadership

Anyone in years 7 to 12 in 2025 is welcome to apply!

If you have any questions please feel free to send me an Inbox message.

What does a student leader do?

Benefits to Student Leadership?

  • Learn valuable leadership skills and life skills

  • Wellbeing; serving is considered valuable for healthy wellbeing

  • Resume; character reference available on request

  • Scholarship & University Applications

  • Duke of Edinburgh's International Award; service activity

End of Year Awards Presentation

After 1 or more years of service as a student leader students will receive a certificate of appreciation at our end of year presentations. Student Leaders chosen (from those that apply) for 2025 will be announced then as well.

Student Leadership Camp

We start off the year with a student leadership camp. It would be great to have all student leaders at the camp but we understand that not everyone will be able to make it. If you are unable to make camp that is ok and it will not impact on who is chosen for student leadership.

  • When: Wed 29th - Fri 31st of January 2025

  • Where: Eaton, WA

  • Why: Team Building

More information on camp is also available here; https://learning.acc.edu.au/courses/19099/pages/student-leadership

Jesus Example

Jesus is the greatest leader and in Matthew 20:25-28 (ESV) he says this;

But Jesus called them to him and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them. It shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be your slave, even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
