We are incredibly proud of Eusebia, one of our DE students who entered the "Write 4 Fun" competition. Eusebia received an achievement award for passing the first round of judging. Although it did not initially make it to the "top ten" her story was passed around among the judges and it was decided it should be published as it was about a girl in Ukraine. Here is the story summary from Eusebia:
"My story was called 'The Road to Hope' and it is about a girl (11 years old) who was running away from the war in Ukraine, where she lived. Her parents needed to leave the house to join the army, leaving the girl home alone. It wasn't safe though, with bombs flying everywhere, she needed to travel to Romania for her grandparents to care for her.
We would like to congratulate Eusebia for her efforts and wish her all the best with her future writing endeavours.
