Welcome back to Term 4! I hope you all had an enjoyable break and had a nice time with family and friends. I was lucky enough to make it across to Sydney to spend some time with my family and friends. Whilst there I worked from our National Office in Erina and was able to continue discussions about 2023. We are looking forward to an excellent year next year as we solidify a number of our current practices and develop others. We also have some new staff coming on board which will be fantastic, as we seek to offer more subjects in our senior years as well as further option subjects in our junior secondary years. In primary school, we are looking to consolidate our new Early Childhood Centre and the ongoing development of our teachers as the team continues to grow.

It is with sadness that we congratulate Tom Wilson, our On-Campus Science teacher, on his move back to Perth, to be close to family for 2023. He has been offered a role in Perth and we are looking forward to the further growth he will achieve in his next school. Tom has been an outstanding teacher for us. He first joined ACC in 2020 to cover junior Science but also to teach Physics and Chemistry. He did a fantastic job with this. Tom has gone on to oversee the Year 8 culture by being our long-standing Year 8 Pastoral Care teacher. He formed the Monday afternoon Story Masters group, which has been incredibly popular. Congratulations, Mr Wilson! We wish you all the best. Mr Wilson should also be congratulated on his recent marriage - it is a very exciting time for Mr and Mrs Wilson.

We thank God that we have already filled the role left by Mr Wilson and are excited by the new staff we have coming on board. I hope to be able to announce these staff in upcoming newsletters. On-campus sees two or three new staff members joining our team. Distance Education (DE) continues to see rapid growth and so we have been bringing on quite a number of new staff this term in preparation for 2023. These new staff are across the school and present an exciting new opportunity for DE to continue to develop the amazing teaching that happens in this sphere.

Later in October, our annual community survey will be sent out to parents, students, and staff. Please do respond to this; we want to ensure that ACC is offering the best schooling possible and so your feedback is helpful for this.
