Today, the only things we seem to find in our letterboxes are snails, bills and catalogues. With instant messaging and email, we have forgotten the joy of getting a letter from someone but recently our Student Liaison, Mr Pitavanik has organised a pen pal program between students on campus and in ODE. The participation from the students has been really positive with the first of the letters being sent out from campus this week and we look forward to hearing about all the replies from our students across Western Australia!

Letters are a tangible reminder that someone has taken the time to think of the right words to say and this can give us great encouragement on a low day. Emails and texts can be kind but nothing communicates a kindness quite like the real thing. It's like receiving packet of Arnotts instead of a jar of freshly baked biscuits- it just isn't the same!

We hope students will continue to correspond in this good old fashion way to build lasting friendships throughout their school years and beyond!

If you are on campus or online and would like to join the Pen Pal program, contact josephpitavanik@acc.edu.au for more information.
