Term one has flown past and interim reports have been prepared. It has been pleasing to see that many students have settled in well and are making the most of their learning opportunities.  Now is a great time to take stock of how things are going for your family and to set some goals for next term.  Establishing good routines after a rest and ensuring that electronic devices and all resources are ready to go for day one of term two is a good idea.  Printing worksheets a week ahead and dating them with their due date for submission helps some families to be organised.

The Whiteman Park excursion is only a few days away.  Many of our staff will be attending, and we are looking forward to meeting up with parents and students, playing games and enjoying crafts.  It can be a long day for some, and if your child is unable to attend for the whole day, please still come and stay for as long as you can.  If you need to leave early, you just need to sign out for our records.

Next week, we have some students from primary and high school participating in the Australian Maths Competition.  We wish them well and hope they enjoy the challenge.

The Year Fives recently shared some of their thoughts with Mrs Lamont about Easter and the holidays. We hope you enjoy some of their reflections:

What does Easter mean to you?

  • Easter is not just chocolate bunnies or eggs. It is the day our Saviour Jesus rose from the grave, in order to restore humanity and forgive us from our sins!

  • It is a time when we learn about Jesus on the cross and be thankful.

  • Spending time with family and friends and eating chocolate and doing Easter activities.

What are your plans for the holidays?

  • Staying at home and relaxing.

  • My plans for the April holiday are celebrating Easter and spending time with my family! We are camping at Busselton this holiday.

  • We are going to visit family and friends

  • Just stay home and go places.

We pray that all our families will have restful and safe holidays wherever you are and whatever you do, and thank you for the incredible effort you make to support your children in Distance Education.
