This term we are welcoming nine new students to Distance Education and hope you really enjoy your learning. Please reach out to your teachers if you need any help - there’s a lot to navigate when you first start.

We would like to really encourage you to set yourself up for success with a study timetable and regular submission of assessments. Good habits practised early will really help you as you navigate your studies through the year levels and help you to feel in control of your work.

I really enjoyed meeting students and families at the Whiteman Park excursion. I’m not used to driving in Perth and managed to get quite lost for a while - Google Maps led me into a dead end roadworks compound and while I could see that Whiteman Park was just the other side of the fence, I couldn’t work out how to get there - I’m sure there’s a life lesson in there somewhere! Eventually, it re-routed me along another road and I made it on time, although a little frazzled. We couldn’t have asked for better weather or more enthusiastic families so thank you to everyone who was able to attend. I’m looking forward to our next excursion at the end of this term.

Congratulations to Christabel Xavier, Eshiel Naraynan, Eusebia Iancu, and Naryan Lee who recently participated in the Maths Olympiad through the Australian Maths Trust. Well done on your efforts and we hope you enjoyed the challenge. Thank you to Mr Brown who supervised students on the day.

God Bless,

Carol Eaves
