Hello Secondary Distance Education and Welcome to the 2025 School Year!

Firstly, I would like to say a big thank you to ACC, and especially the Distance Education (DE) Team who have genuinely welcomed me into my new role as Head of Secondary - Distance Education, with kindness and grace. Like many of you who I have met over the past couple of weeks, being new can be very daunting, but we have such a caring and supportive team, who  have made my transition to a new place that little bit easier. Our team is so welcoming and caring; every student and community member is genuinely well KNOWN, well LOVED, and well TAUGHT! 

Since commencing my new role, I have had the privilege of meeting our DE Student Leaders at their leadership camp in Bunbury, and also many of our Year 10-12 students and families at our Information Session in Perth. And … I look forward to meeting our Year 7 and 8’s at their upcoming camp in Busselton, later in the term.

As the year progresses, I look forward to meeting with you either online or in person, and remind everyone that if you don’t know, just ask. There will always be a friendly team member who will happily help. We have an amazing community at ACC DE, and being on this journey with you all is exciting (sometimes overwhelming), but overall amazing!
