Students from Year Eight have been studying Abstract art this semester, in particular this term the genre called "Orphism". The main idea of orphism is to explore colour and shape. Most of these artworks feature concentric circles, which are circles inside of circles. They used art materials or 'mediums' ranging from sharpie textas to acrylic or watercolour paints. These are just a few of the wonderful, creative and vibrant artworks submitted this year in this unit. Great work Year 8s!
